Something similar to what is in the dkms rpm package:
http://linux.dell.com/dkms/
or the one included in Mandriva
(http://cvs.mandrakesoft.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/SPECS/dkms)
dkms currently has support for building RPMs including binary modules
from dkms "packages". For example, in Mandriva, dkms is used to build
all binary kernel module packages ...
