Xserve Raid on a poweredge...

I am having trouble with the LSI cards on bootup.
We have PE 1750s and 1850s with embedded RAID that also uses the

mptbase and mptscsih modules.

So now, if I unplug the XServe RAIDs, the systems will boot up fine, when I plug them in, the kernel seems to call the LSI cards first before calling and booting the internal HDs.
so sda becomes the apple partions.

System works fin if it doesn't have HW RAID on the motherboard.
