DRAC4 java error

Could this be an ATI issue?
I have seen, on reading the FAQs (if all else fails ...) that the system
needs to have installed the appropriate video drivers. The older drivers
on the Dell site are for RHEL3 and earlier.
I am using CentOS4.1 which should include the radeon drivers and looking
in the .config file for the downloaded kernel, I see:
CONFIG_DRM_RADEON=m
# CONFIG_FB_RADEON_OLD is not set
# CONFIG_FB_RADEON is not set
which ought to work however there is no radeon module.
insmod radeon doesn't work but
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.9-11.ELsmp/kernel/drivers/char/drm/radeon.ko
does install the module (that's the current kernel).
However to get back even to a blank screen, I now have to reinstall
1.5.0_6 and it still doesn't work.:-(( The same NullPointerException as
before.
?Clues?
Best wishes
John
