pe2850 console redirection after boot

Hello All,

I've given up trying to remote install over sol :( for now at least. If anyone 
has or does have any success I'd be very interested in any advise (to the 
point of documenting it should I have success)

Anyhoo next question...

generally I want to boot without redirection after boot. But when using 
certain dos tftp images (bios updates, diagnostic utils etc.) I want it on. 
Anyway other than going into the bios and changing it to change the setting? 
any programmatic way?
