ppp0 bandwidth spiking

one possibility: using racadm locally (from the server) to update the RAC firmware.. the firmware image is transferred over the ppp interface, but i don't know whether it would achieve such high bitrates, nor take 3 minutes.  and doing so on a 3-week regular interval is also not likely ;-)

anything in the server logs about that time?
