2550 spontaneous reboot

We seem to have the same problem, here are the details:
PE 2550
2 GB RAM
4 disks running JBOD from the Adaptec 39160 scsi controller (aic7xxx kernel module)
RedHat ES 2.1 (2.4.9-e.40)
The system seems to only reboot itself when we are telling Oracle to create table spaces and tables. The system gets part of the way through every time before rebooting.
I am considering running a dd if=/dev/zero of=/some/place bs=1000 count=50000 or something to exercise the disks and scsi controller to see if that will cause a reboot. Any other better ideas for testing or anything we can look at?
We have upgraded the BIOS, the SCSI controller firmware, and ESM chip, and run Dell Diagnostics (came back with no errors).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Grant
