DMA om PowerEdge 1300

I have recently installed Debian Testing (kernel version 2.4.25) on my
PowerEdge 1300, however i can't seem to get DMA working on the two
IDE-disks i've installed in the machine.

Is it possible to get it to work?

If so, how do I do it?
