The corresponding sources are:
  ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/suse/i386/update/8.2/rpm/src/kernel-source-2.4.20.SuSE-100.src.rpm

A SuSE src.rpm installs under /usr/src/packages/, so you need

  ln -s redhat /usr/src/packages

After your "rpm -ihv kernel-source-2.4.20.SuSE-100.src.rpm", you will find
under your /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES:

-rw-r--r-- root root 9252 Nov 14 2002 README.patches

Of course, this older SuSE kernel too does not have the aacraid bug.
I had it in use at ftp.gwdg.de until last week, and now have

Linux ftp 2.4.20-64GB-SMP #1 SMP Wed Aug 6 18:30:02 UTC 2003 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux

which is installed from

  ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/suse/i386/update/8.2/rpm/i586/k_smp-2.4.20-100.i586.rpm

Cheers -e
