In theory, yes it should keep working. Is dev 08:11 the RAID device?
(Look in /proc/partitions)

It could be cabling I suppose, but I'd expect to see more in the kernel
log if the RAID controller detected a bad disk. I'm guessing now - I
don't have a 2650 to play with.
