Build Linux kernel on 1650

This means the kernel can't talk to your boot device.  Most likely you 
either:
- Didn't build the kernel with support for your PERC{2,3}
- Built the kernel with PERC support as a module but forgot to 'make 
  modules; make modules_install'
- Forgot to remake the initrd for your new kernel.
