Won't work, don't even waste your time. No post no video WILL happen. Bios
is locked to ecc registered dimms.

as the poster said - it's a volume issue and therefore ECC costs more.

you might, but i am unsure of whether your dell will boot (i'm guessing
it doesn't) with non ECC memory. anyone ever try it ?
