You need to add a ifcfg file for the addtional aliased interface in 
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.  The easiest way is to simply copy one of 
the exsiting ifcfg-eth0 to ifcfg-eth0:0, remove the addtional stuff and 
check the DEVICE and IP flags.. For example:

DEVICE="eth0:0"
BOOTPROTO="none"
ONBOOT="yes"
IPADDR="111.222.333.444"
NETMASK="255.255.255.0"
