Memory is fairly cheap again.  You can get 2GB for a 2550 (used as an
example, may be more for your system) for around $360.  Not bad, IMO.

I will have to look into it.  The machine has 1G now and to go to 2G
would
mean i have to dicard all the 256M simms and replace them with 512M
ones.

Bit of a tough call at the moment.
