can't connect to open-manage server on dell1650

If in fact you are trying to use OpenManage Server Administator, then you
can also get to your box locally(i.e on the server running OpenManage
Administrator) or from another Linux box using mozilla.  
If not, a couple of questions:

What version of IT Assistant are you using?
There should be a list of servers on the network in ITA. Can you see your
Linux box?
