Hello,

I am pleased to announce I have made available on our site a Slackware 8 boot
disk for the Dell Poweredge 2550 with Raid 5 aacraid controller.

It is based on a 2.4.7 kernel but I can make it with any supported kernel...

This boot disk supports SCSI (for sure) IDE (for reading the CDROM) ram disk
to mount the root disk, modules ( just in case you need something I did not
put in my kernel), and many more things like ReiserFS, eepro100...

When booting from this disk and using the color rootdisk from the slackware
cdrom you can smoothly install a Slackware 8 on your system.

I felt I needed to do that because the one Gavin Roy made had no IDE support
nor module support nor ReiserFS... so I could not use it.

Please feel free to had a link on your page to

http://www.alphacent.com/opensource/

you will find the same image in different formats (actually raw data,
gzipped, zipped, bzipped) just to let anyone choose the one he needs.

Good by and thanks for the patch, keep up the good work.
