Flash a PERC3/QC on a live system.

The manner in which you have flashed firmware before is still the only way
to do this function, no matter if there is a partition mounted or not.

Filename for latest firmware upgrade is p3fw161j.exe

Below are the installation instructions from the web page for that file:

1. Download the P3FW161J.EXE to a directory on your hard drive. The file
downloaded is a
self-extracting executable.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to
create a bootable diskette.
3. Boot the server using this diskette to update controller firmware.
4. You can press ctrl-C and read the readme file for changes and instruction
or press any key to continue the firmware update process.

Subject: Flash a PER3/QC on a live system.

I have just a question about flashing a PERC3/QC.:

Can i flash a card that controls a diskarray on wich a partition
is mounted and in use. ?

I think it shouldn't be a problem i just wanted to have a confirmation
before I used to flash cards with a boot disk and not on a live system.
