DVD Drive detection problem

No, I had to use the bootdisk with the aacraid drivers on it and then I
used a color.gz disk to run the install. When it asks where the
installation source is and I specify the DVD drive, the probe fails. Is
there a way to run the installer from the CD after the bootdisk loads
the kernel?
