I'm forwarding this on behalf of Dennis. I'll be out-of-the-office for
several weeks.
I believe he means aacraid, not aic7xxx, but I could be mistaken.

Thanks,
Matt

Subject: SuSE on Poweredge 2550

Matt,

First, I found your webpage for the SUSE kernel that
allowed my AIC7xxx controller to be seen and I was
able to successfully complete the SUSE installation on
our 2550. After the install, however, I found that I
had to copy your kernel onto the system and use that
to boot. Otherwise the kernel panic-ed and halted the
system. So - Your kernel works wonderfully, except
for one small problem. We have a dual processor 2550
and this kernel can only see one processor.

Do you know where I can get a kernel, or compile a
kernel (I don't know how to do that, though) that will
include both abilities (AIC7xxx and SMP)

Thank you in advance. I hope this is a quick one for
you. I know you have more important things to do than
answer support questions. I will keep hunting and if
I hear anything before hearing from you I can let you
know.

I would also like to thank you for the kernel you
already created with the AIC7xxx drivers. It was very
helpful. Good work!

Thank you,
Dennis Lopeman
