sound problem

I found the latest 2.6.27.19_3.2.1 kernel on openSUSE-11.1, even with
the latest 1.0.19 git alsa packaged rpms installed, has broken the auto
mute for the speakers, when the headphones are pluged in my Dell Studio
15 (1537) laptop.

So I wrote this bug report:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=482052

If this is not fixed in a couple of weeks (before my next vacation) I
may roll back to the older kernel.
