VT capability in Optiplex Intel?

I am trying to do kvm/qemu hardware paravirtualization on an Optiplex
745 with an Intel processor.  kvm complains and refuses to load.  I
updated the BIOS having heard somewhere that the processor was VT
capable, but it was not supported in the BIOS.  Still not working.  I
know the AMD processors of the same generation do support it.  Is there
something I have to do (other than 'sudo modprobe kvm-intel') to enable
VT, or doesn't this CPU support it?
