no bluetooth on d610 with ubuntu

Hi all
I use ubuntu (now the 7.10) on my dell d610; all works perfectly except
the bluetooth. the adapter is recognized:

but the hcitool scan exit without any result!
I read some thread about vista and specific firmware but on my laptop
only ubuntu is installed.
A colleague has the same laptop (with dual boot: win xp and ubuntu 7.10)
and the bluetooth works fine! I think that the problem is related to
the fact that when I run win xp the last time the bluetooth was turned
off by the software utility.
I also tried dellWirelessCtl but it seems to be not supported on this model:
