ACPI: DSDT Warning - Inspiron Desktop 531s w/ Ubuntu Gutsy

I recently bought an Inspiron Desktop 531s (System ID: 0x020E), which I
"liberated" by installing Ubuntu -- I would have bought a Ubuntu Dell,
but Dell Canada seem to fear/hate the penguin :(.
I've upgraded the unit last week to 7.10 (Gutsy) and since then, I get a
kernel warning about a missing DSDT.aml in initramfs.
[ 0.384000] ACPI: Looking for DSDT in initramfs... error, file
/DSDT.aml not found.
From what I can gather, the bug has been reported on launchpad
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/58386)
and relates to the fact Ubuntu kernel maintainers enable the
"CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_INITRD" option at build-time.
I was wondering if I could insert the DSDT.aml file generated by the
command cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > DSDT.aml in my initramfs, which would be
much easier than recompiling the stock kernel.
Thanks in advance
Claude
