They must be getting worried from seeing del choseing linux, and seeing
their sales die.

Here was an issue I ran into last night with ubuntu install, by default
the root account is disabled (they do this too in mac OS X) here is how
I found to fix it

Open a bash shell and run this command to enable the root account "$sudo
passwd root". To disable it again run this command "$sudo passwd -l
root" the other problem I had was after setting the root password, the
gnome would not let me do things with admin rights with the newly reset
password. They have it set up to where you have to enter your **user
password** to sudo to root. LOL I was look for that for an hour or two
last night. The other problem I have ran into is the login was not
letting me in after I installed some software and said that something
abou $HOME/.dbgd (I think that was what it said but not sure...) was
locked up and needed to set the permitions to 644... so I was trying to
fix that all day. The cool thing was that it did detect my wireless
intel pro wireless card fast and simple. And they appear to have all the
3d games for download like fedora 6 does, plus it does not seem to run
quite as hot on my processor. I think the issue is realted to me not
completely flatening the hdd instead of re-partitioning my hdd.
