I even wonder if a docking station driver would be in order. Something
that helps linux detect the hardware connected to the ds. What do you
think? I say this because I've had problems other than sound while
docked. For example ubuntu 7.04 had problems detecting the monitor
connected to the ds so it defaulted to a resolution of 1400x1050. Not
only was that woo small for my old eyes 8-), but I don't the think my
syncmaster 173b even supports that. It would try to display it but I
would always lose the panel on the bottom of the screen. It would be off
the display. No monitor adjustment was ever able to get the whole
desktop to display. With manual adjustments to the xorg.conf file I
think I was eventually able to get 1024x768 to work but it would be nice
if all the hardware connected to the ds would be detected automatically.
Thanks,
Chuck
