Thanks for your reply. 'acpi=noirq' works too. Do you know what causes the problem? Is it
a Linux/FreeBSD kind of bug or should I send a few friendly emails to Dell so that they
may consider fixing it?

Furthermore there is still this "MP-BIOS bug" warning from the Linux kernel. Is Linux right?
