:)  There are quite a few to choose from.  Can you give me a bit more information about what hardware your D820 has?  Video card, wireless adaptor, that sort of thing.  Information on what modules are loaded across a suspend/resume cycle would also be useful, as well as testing to see if hibernate works.

Suspend/resume in Linux is still a bit touchy, and driver issues are at the root of most suspend/resume issues I have dealt with.  I usually end up having to custom compile my kernel and drivers to get reliable suspend/resume on most distros.
