Hi David,

We bought an E521 and have similar issues. Since we bought it with a 24" W
monitor, we were able to use the usb hub on the monitor.

I tried FC5/6 and had troubles with both. Finally, I installed CentOS 4
and that seems to be working.

FC6 -> 2.6.18-x
Install will complete.
Broadcom 10/100 card wont work. The OS thinks its a wireless card.
I can boot the smp kernel. But I get lots of messages about hogging
interrupts.

CentOS -> 2.6.9-42.EL
Install smoothly. Will freeze trying to bring up networking. Disabled on
board ethernet. Put in a 3com card and that works. Will freeze trying to
boot SMP, only single core works now.
Random keyboard/mouse freeze still happens(infrequent)

I hope Dell does something to fix.
