Linspire Live Cd Will Not Install To Harddrive.

What model of Dimension is it?

When he is running Linspire as a LiveCD, does the hard drive show up in the
desktop?

Does the hard drive show up in the output of dmesg? (whether or not he can
see the hard drive on the desktop)

Have you or him contacted Linspire to see if the specific model of Dimension
he has is supported by that version of Linspire?  If it is a very new
Dimension then his drive controllers may not (yet) be supported by that
version of Linspire.
