any info about LCD panel on a Dell PowerEdge 1950?

I've stumbled into the libsmbios project; looks neat.  I'm really
pleased with the getSystemId utility.

Is there any interest in affecting the programmable LCD front panel
on the Dell PowerEdge 1950?

I know that Dell does provide a utility for it, via the 'omconfig'
utility, but it's rather heavyweight...
