Hello Michael,
For the last 2 weeks, I've used libsmbios to update BIOS on systems I've
access. This is a sum up.
Most of thoses systems have been updated from a pxe/nfsroot
debian/etch-i486 environnement. Almost all poweredges were updated from
the running system (debian/etch-i686). The libsmbios binaries used are
the ones provided by José Luis Tallon in the debian distribution
(version 0.12.1-3). By the way thanks a lot for the package José.

Great job.
[1] Optiplex 745 has a funcky bios 1.0.3. I was unable to soft-reboot
the box with this version of bios (stuck at the end of the shutdown with
no apparent reason). Manualy (pxe+dos) upgrading to bios 2.0.5 fixed
this issue.
[2] The hdr repository is missing Bios version 2.5.1 for the Dimension
9200... Upload to ftp.dell.com lately (Aug 29 3:19 DXP061-020501.EXE
;-) I known, but we got a bunch of them yesterday with this new BIOS.
FYI --writehdr works fine.
We are know integrating dellBiosUpdate in our installation scripts and
are _very_ happy with it.
Thanks again for this piece of software.
