Unable to update bios on ubuntu for vostro 1710

Actually, the command I should have run was:
sudo biosdisk install --name=A12 ./Desktop/V1710A12.exe
which creates a grub menu item for "A12". No matter, the command in the last post also works, it just doesn't set the name to A12 opting to use the name of the image file instead.
