I agree the update_firmware method seems more transparent when set up, but tbh 
when setting it up myself on Fedora 9 I found biosdisk to be more 
straightforward. Perhaps it's worth mentioning biosdisk on the 
troubleshooting page on the wiki (which is where i looked first) for those 
who for whatever reason can't get update_firmware working. I only found 
biosdisk after specifically searching for "bios linux" on ideastorm and 
seeing a link on a comment.
