Vostro 1710 Bios Upgrade Issue

No no.  The solution I sent you will also create a grub boot image on 
your hard drive.  When you reboot, your grub menu will have a new entry 
that can be selected in order to install the BIOS update.  Once it is 
installed, the same software utility can be used to remove the boot 
image and associated files from the grub menu.
