mini 9 bios update issue (version A02)

Hello,

I've got a Dell mini 9 that I want to update the bios on. The machine
shipped with linux of course :)

I'm wondering how bios updates should be done on the mini 9. The bios
package (now at version A02) appears to be a windows-gui only update
and won't run under freedos.

The instructions on the download page for the bios update indicate that
the procedure attempted above actually should work, however it doe not.

I've gone so far to run the bios update program under wine and snag the
decompressed files including the bios.rom file while the update was
figuring out that it can't succeed under wine. Is there a way to take
the rom file and use it with firmware tools to perform the update?

Any ideas? Is there a more appropriate list for this question?
