How to use firmware-tools on Dell Inspiron 531S

Okay, my turn to ask a dumb question. :-)

I've got a Dell Inspiron 531S desktop box running Redhat Fedora 8. I've
installed all the firmware tools RPMs but I don't quite understand how
I'm supposed to use them. I've read the notes on this website:

 http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Repository/firmware

The page says I should use this command:

 yum install $(bootstrap_firmware)

I'm assuming $(bootstrap_firmware) is supposed to be some sort of
variable where I need to plug in the particular firmware I need for my
box? I can't find any real-world examples of what I'm supposed to type
for an Inspiron 531S to update my firmware. I tried obvious things like
"yum update inspiron_531s" and "yum update 531s" without any luck. How
do I find out what the value of $(boostrap_firmware) should be for my
box? Or am I missing something obvious here?
