The method by which BIOSes are being extracted from support.dell.com
changed about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't had time to fix the Ubuntu
autopackaging. Thanks for the reminder.

Subject: Ubuntu repo out of date?
Hi. I followed the instructions on the wiki for adding the firmware repo
(Ubuntu Hardy 64-bit on Inspiron 1420). But it appears that the repo is
out of date:
# apt-cache policy system-bios-ven-0x1028-dev-0x01f3
system-bios-ven-0x1028-dev-0x01f3:
Installed: 0.a03-1
Candidate: 0.a03-1
Version table:
*** 0.a03-1 0
500 http://linux.dell.com cross-distro/dell-firmware Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
So it shows version a03 is in the repo. But version a07 is available
elsewhere on the site:
http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/bios-hdrs/system_bios_ven_0x1028_dev
_0x01f3_version_a07/
Or am I missing something?
- Johan
