To all previous users of "dell-repo-tools" and the "extract_hdr" program:
As some of you may have noticed, a couple weeks ago with the release of firmware-tools 2.0, the 'extract_hdr' program disappeared from dell-repo-tools. There is a new replacement for this program.
The purpose of the firmware-tools v2.0 release was to enhance the internal API to allow plugins and other extensions. I have reworked the extract_hdr program as a firmwaretool plugin. This means that you can now simply run "/usr/bin/firmwaretool" with the "--extract" option to do what the old "extract_hdr" program used to. Additionally, I have done a lot of work to make this process more robust.
Please run '/usr/sbin/firmwaretool --extract --help' to see all the options for this new plugin. By default, extracted images are placed under /usr/share/firmware, such that they are immediately available to be used as upgrades, but you can override this by using the "--outputdir" argument.
