bootstrap_firmware broken on el3

Yay. It is bug #144677, but, to me, I will always remember it as my first.

I was going to say this a few weeks ago... I will do my best to support RHEL3. Unfortunately, my ability to do complete testing on RHEL3 is limited, so I am relying on users to let me know if things are broken.
