no vmx in /proc/cpuinfo

Hello,

I am using a Dell Dimension 9200, model 86SL3D1. The motherboard, DXP061, is at
firmware 2.5.2( the latest( thanks linux folks at dell!!!!)). The cpu
flags ought to show "vmx"
for hardware virtualization support but does not. I have enabled and
disable virtualization in
the bios to no avail. I have never been able to determine what's
wrong and it has never
shown "vmx" ever on any bios version. Any ideas? Is it possible that
hardware virtualization
is working but just now listed in the cpu flags? Is that were so, how
would I check?

Much Thanks!
Mike
