firmware-tools for Debian

Hi,
As it is obvious from my e-mail address, I am a Debian Developer.
I feel bad contacting you after you've done all the hard work, but I saw
the call of Matt Domsch and I'm interested in seeing the firmware tools
in Debian.
That is, if the Ubuntu guys are not interested; I'd hate to see two
different dpkg packaging evolving for those distributions.

I will file an Intent-To-Package (ITP) bug against wnpp (Work-needing
and Prospective Packages) soon and Cc this to the list, if noone objects.

I will also have a look at your Debian packaging efforts and get back to
you.
