Trouble updating BIOS on a PowerEdge SC1420

That's literally what the error says:
"The image failed one or more consistency checks."
I will try to get you a snapshot of the screen the next opportunity I
get to bring the system down.
I tried the .BIN updater available off of the Dell website and got a
slightly different message:
"The image was not found in memory."
