git repository with full history

Matt, Charles,
    I have an ok semi-automated method of importing tarballs into git. I
went ahead and created a git repo out of all of the tarballs in
~mdomsch/dkms/dev/*.tar.gz imported in date order (of underlying
dirs, not date on tarball). Imported 0.22.04 through 2.0.16.1.
Everything from linux.dell.com/dkms/permalink/ as well as a few betas in
~mdomsch/dkms/dev/ directory. Each version imported was tagged and
signed with my key.

    I've posted it at /var/ftp/pub/Applications/git/staging/dkms.git.

    If you like it, we can move it up a level and make it the official
git repo.
