Excessive make mrproper at the end of build

Hey folks,
Thanks for this tools, it saves my life many times ;)

Before and after installing a DKMS rpm, dkms makes a make mrproper.
The dkms I had installed works perfectly but other tools I want to 
compile are failing because the kernel is no more "prepared".
I must do manually a "make prepare-all" in my kernel tree to insure all 
my other tools to be able to compile (they don't use dkms at all).
Is there any solution to prevent dkms from doing a make mrproper before 
exiting ?
