Bryan,

Sorry for the slow response...

1)      It uses ohai in the discovery image.  Ohai is extensible.

2)      Yes.

3)      No.  OpenStack does have some support for SANs so you may be able to leverage that depending on your use case.

pls forgive my n00bishness,

How does the deployer barclamp learn the BIOS, BMC level details about a machine? Obviously it can't use ohai for that purpose.

My understanding is that Crowbar sets up machines that are used as hypervisors by openstack. Openstack manages the virtual machines running on those hypervisors. Is this correct?

Does crowbar have any support for storage area networks yet?
